Fusion customers can now access GP Connect through Fusion software for free, helping you securely view important GP information for the people you care for.

GP Connect is an NHS service that allows authorised health and social care professionals to access relevant information from a resident’s GP record when needed for direct care. This can include key information such as allergies, medication, immunisations and recent GP encounters.

For care homes, this helps reduce the need to chase information manually and supports safer, quicker and better-informed care decisions.

What do care homes need to do?

To access GP Connect through Fusion, care homes need to complete a few key steps so we can confirm readiness and support onboarding.

Customers will need to provide:

1. Name, company and contact email

2. ODS Code, which is the care home’s unique NHS identifier

3. DSPT status through the Data Security and Protection Toolkit

4. Confirmation of NDSA acceptance through the National Data Sharing Arrangement

These steps help ensure GP Connect is used securely and in line with NHS data sharing requirements.
