What is a SALT team?

There are many acronyms used in care, this article explores what a SALT team is and the importance they play in influencing a person centred approach to care planning for an individual.

A SALT (Speech and Language Therapy) team is a group of qualified and experienced speech and language therapists who work together to provide assessment and treatment for individuals with speech, language, communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
